I thought you had to take a refresher course after a certain amount of time out of school. They do here.

Depends on the state board of nursing that's allowing the test to be taken. Some states allow a maximum number of attempts before requiring a refresher, some require repeating the entire nursing program. And others allow unlimited attempts as long as the processing fees keep getting paid.
One national exam, no national standard of acceptance.

Congratulations! I failed twice and before I can retest I am required to petition the Kansas board of nursing because they said it's been more than two years after graduation. CAN SOMEONE HELP WITH THE PETITION? THANKS
