Sorry to hear you failed? What methods have you tried in the past. May I suggest trying Suzanne's plan check out the sticky at the top of the forum to see if you qualify. Best of luck next time.

My mom actually took two tries to pass the NCLEX. What she did was she took 4 months off to study with KAPLAN books everyday.
When I say everyday, I mean everyday and HOURS everyday. She never watched TV (if she did, only for 10-15 minutes).
She ate, drank, slept and studied. That's it. I felt really bad. I hope I don't have to do that and pass right after I finish with school.
Ive tried saunders the third edition in the past what exactly is suzanne's plan i'm taking nclex pn and i'm goin to register for the kaplan nclex rn review...will the nclex-rn review help cause i can't find any nclex-lvn reviews....thanks for your time and suggestions.:)

Look at the stickies they will explain a bit of her plan. Once completed first tip and meet her requirements she will send the second part on her mailing days (1st and 15th)
Thanks your help and time is really appreciated!

Definately look into Suzanne's Plan. Sorry to hear you did not pass this time. {{{ HUGS }}} Lots of the new grads at my facility have also failed first time and some even a second or third before passing. Stay positive and remember you can do this. You will pass this test. Best advise I ever got was to say out loud, " This is only a test." I said it out loud every day and all the way to the test center. Anyways I just wanted to wish you good luck.
GOOD LUCK. :wshgrt:
Thanks alot for the encouraging words:)

Sorry to hear of your setback and want to encourage you to step back, take a deep breath, and renew your efforts. Also advise to do Suzanne's plan. Many have passed this way. Good luck.

Good night,
First I want to thank God for helping me. I took nclex 3 times and failed, I took it for the 4th time and just found out yesterday that i passed. What I found to be most helpful was a list of things...
1) I bought Exam Cram written by pearson vue the same nclex people, download the cd you have to follow the cd direct......... when you put the cd in take 2 practice text they said 3x but take it 2x then the computer will automatically record your weak and your strong areas just like nclex does. Then go to adaptive section take all the questions in adaptive area until the 75%, 85% and 95% bar fill up it covered all the nclex areas....its going to test your weakest areas and go over your strongest areas as well (dont be surprise if you get repeated questions just do them like it is the first time you seeing the questions this will give you more practice and also reinforce your knowlege.) Then move on to the stimulating exam this is exactly like the nclex it testes your knowlege base upon the difficulities of questions. ( it drops if you answer the question wrong and the questions get harder if you answer them right.) If you are not doing well the exam will cut you off and you fail. If you are doing well the exam will continue and you pass. Practice becomes perfect...its not how smart you are but how you develop your critical thinking......
2) I went to a review class but that didnt help me. The next tool that helped me was the NCSBn website http://www.learningext.com/products/rnreview/review.asp which was recommened by the review class. I spent $50 for 3 weeks . I did all the question bank and the post test.....Dont read the book from back to front all at once ( I did, bad idea you dont remember a thing after you are finish.) if you dont understand a question that is when you return to your nclex book (saunders 4th edition) or if your want it simple (exam cram) to review the material that you are uncertain of... The same people who create the nclex exam create this review websit. The questions look similar so if you review everything even though the questions are not the same it seems as if your at your own computer at home rationalizing questions.. It covers every area.
3. I used allnurses.com "The random fact throwing" they have loads of information, creat thread on "Infection control". Thanks to all the people in allnurses that come who share their information great source.......
4. I went to my doctor and he prescribed me some xanex thats puppy helped me the most with anxiety. I was so calm that even the examiners recommended me. For some reason nclex challenged me mentally, physically, emotionally but I sat there very calm telling my self this was the last time they are going to treat me like this........ if you pass 75 questions dont panic that means you are in the game you are doing something right but not good enough just sit there and take every other question like its the first question...(DONT GIVE UP THAT WHEN THEY GET YOU.....) BE MENTALLY PREPARED FOR THEM TO TAKE YOU ALL THE WAY IF THEY STOP AT 75 THAT MEAN YOU ARE DOING EXCELLENT AND GOD IS ON YOUR SIDE, BUT IF THE BEAST NCLEX WANT TO TAKE YOU FOR A RIDE SADDLE UP AND GO NECK TO NECK WITH THE BEAST DONT GIVE UP OR GIVE IN UNTIL YOU SEE THE COMPUTER GO BLANK. TRUST ME YOU WILL BE VICTORIOUS!!!!!
Finally, prayer....
I know my story is long but if i can help another person Im willing.
GOOD NIGHT
