The purpose of accommodations for a learning disability is to remove aspects that make the test more difficult for some, which aren't part of the purpose of the test. In a regular math class, the purpose of the test is only to evaluate a student's math knowledge, so it might be appropriate to try and remove the stress of doing poorly on the test for instance. But for a nursing math test, the ability to perform mathematical calculations while distracted and under the pressure of severe consequences for mistakes is an important part of the test, and therefore often isn't something that has to be removed in providing accommodations.

So I've reread the OP notes. I can't find where she said this was a math test . It was her nursing final. It might have had some math...

My question is, who wrote your appeal letter? If your posts here are any indication, it wasn't you, it has a totally different sound, KWIM? This may raise some flags with the administration too, fairly or not.

Well apparently I was misdiagnosed. I just found out I have Lyme disease. I thought it was ADD and apparently the issues I was having were due to Lyme. My joints started hurting in the beginning of Nursing 4, so besides being treated for ADD and put on medications with unwanted side effects, I was put on Embrel and later humara forpsoriatic Arthritis. So I now have an attorney helping my case and hope this solifies my appeal case ....
