Have you taken review courses? What sort of material did you study from? When I studied, I had several resources. I studied from two main NCLEX Comprehensive Guides (Saunders and Delmar's), but used CD ROMS from several resources; Incredibly Easy, Lippincotts, Mosby's in addition to the two I mentioned. What I wanted to do was to see different styles of questions, different approaches and challenges. I am sorry to hear that, because it is hard enough to face that demon as it is. Keep up the strength, though. Determination will eventually win.

That's stressful. I also wonder what measures you used while studying for the boards? Have you used Susanne's 1st tip thing. I did not use it personally however I have heard great things. I personally used the Saunders most recent book. I did hundreds of quizzes on the computer with the CD and used the book only for the areas I needed extra help. Keep your head up. The NCLEX does not mean what kind of nurse you are, or will be! It is the luck of the draw what kind of crazy things you get dealt.

Keep your head up

Anyways, you should try Suzanne's Plan. I heard many great things about it. Also, remember to use Critical Thinking when taking the NCLEX. Read the questions more than once. Don't give up! Have positive thinking.

:yeah:I was thinking the same...the last thing a person needs to hear or read is something that will make them feel worse.

Another thing I thought of is when you to practice questions, read the rationales, whether you are correct or not. What you have to see is HOW you came to the conclusion you decided. Many times, I admit, I chose the correct answers based on a lucky guess, but you have to start ruling out and figuring out WHY this answer is the correct one.

Also (I learned this after the fact, but on these forums); when you get those 'pick all that apply' questions, don't group them together. Think of each selection as an individual question asking if this statement related to the situation is either true or false.

Thanks everyone for the reply...right now i have the nclex pn comp review edition 3 saunders...so far i have got one chapter down and the I answered most of the questions right there were 2 that i missed out of 10 questions.

I was in the same boat. I failed the NCLEX twice and finally a coworker told me about a CPNE workshop that she attended through her RN blended learning program and after the second failed attempt I finally checked it out. I realized through this that I am a visual/hands on learner and having the instructor Sheri as a resource was invaluable. I guess the third time was the charm and a little help from the workshop didn't hurt. They also have a website that you can sign up for a free newsletter with NCLEX tips and resources. Don't get discouraged, youcan do it! Check out the website. http://www.cpneworkshop.com/home

well, today I received my failed result for the second time, these bastards are collecting money the bad way, they know that many people are doing the test over and over again. this is gonna be my last time doing this. I will go to Dubai and get double the money without tax for nothing, no boards, no exams, nothing. I only had nothing from this country but pain, misery, wasting money for nothing, and lie promises. well my advise to everyone of you who has no luck just like me, Nursing is the worse profession to do, stress all the time, before and after working. I've been an oncology nurse in my country for 4 years, and nothing just NOTHING. I HATE NURSING AND NCLEX...NO MORE

sorry to hear bout that. Few years back i also failed the nclex and i know its so hard to start the day after receiving the bad news. I spent a lot of money to prepare for that exam and I was depressed and discouraged for quite sometime until i got fed up with nclex. After 3 years, I tried my luck again..this time i studied hard and i kept on looking on the candidate performance report where i focused on my weak areas. So I studied the weakest areas first. You can check out my advice that i posted earlier.

Cheer up! You can pass this test! Just fight and dont give up! I'll be praying for you. :heartbeat
