failed the NCLEX-RN

Ok, I just received my results for NCLEX-RN and failed:sniff:. I applied with texas and would like to know what fees do I have to pay to retest and do I have to reapply at the BON website? I feel so unworthy right now, these questions are probably right there in the BON web but Im not very focused due to all the crying.

Please help.

thank you

mamajo, so sorry! I failed also, i did the PVT thursday and went all the way to cc page. Got my quick results yesterday and I failed.

Pick yourself back up. Take a week off. You can do this, have faith in yourself.

****hugs****

So sorry you have failed, You are not unworthy you have just hit a hurdle you need to jump over. Some BON's require a small fee to resit the exam and you will also have to pay pearsonvue again and receive a new ATT

It won't be such an unknown next time. Pick yourself up after a day or two feeling upset and take it again. You will be successful as long as you don't give up.

Thank you Gold22. Next time I pay the 7.95 at pearsonvue.com for unofficical score it will say PASS. yes, now I know what to expect.

Hi mamajo,

I'm sorry to hear that happened, but you CAN do it. I know where you're coming from. I didn't pass on my first try, but I did on my second. I know it's hard, but take some time off and then pick yourself back up again.

I'm not sure if you had your questions answered. You'll receive an letter in the mail giving you your official results with the areas you need to work on. A number should be included to call for test retakers. I'm not sure what it is in Texas, but I called up and paid 75 dollars to get another ATT. Then you have to register for an exam date at Pearson Vue and that was another 200 dollars. Hope that helps and good luck! You can do it!

Thank you onehappynurse. I will pass the second time around. I do not want to pay another 200 dollars plus whatever else at third time. I was hoping they give at least two shots before having to pay full price. What I dont get is I thought the 200 dollars was for the test taking and your license but apparently I did not receive a license...???Oh well, shoud have passed the first time but Ill pass the second!!!
