Energy Drinks

Ok.. How many of you have tried any of those energy drinks that they sell at gas stations... There is the Amp (made by Mountain Dew) and Sobe Adrenaline Rush, and a couple others..

I have a test tomorrow and I have about 5 chapters of Maternity reading to do and it makes me soooooooo sleepy reading.. So I went and bought the Sobe Adrenaline Rush and I am trying to choke it down (not the greatest taste) I will let you know if it helps... I am normally the type of person that Caffeine doesn't phase, so we will see..

:)

I drank the amp and i thought it was discusting. YUCK!! Myself i stick to good ole coffee. One thing i have taken though that did give me energy was xenedrine, it is a fat burner that i bought to lose weight it gave me more energy than i have ever had! I studied washed my car and cleaned my house all in like 2-3 hours!! good luck!

Isn't xenedrine ephedra? Bad for you if it is.

RED BULL!! Don't know if you guys get it - made in New Zealand I think - but it is THE BEST THING for staying awake on your first day off after night duty - mind, don't take it within about q8h of needing to sleep, or you won't be able to.....sleep, that is!

If you can't choke down any of the drinks, try any kind of diet pills. There is usually a whole load of caffeine in those pills! You'll be mega hyper. Or go to the local gas station and get some mini thins truckers use them to stay awake on long hauls! But you know what sucks more than getting sleepy when reading chapters? It's reading everything and having no idea what you just read!

Ahhh.... I always just drink Mountain Dew and snack....

I'm one of those people that always puts sleep above studying. There's no point in me trying to read if I'm falling asleep--I'm not learning anything anyway! In fact, i've never stayed up past midnight studying...!!

LOL!

Like a poster mentioned previously, careful of drinks/snacks/pills with ephedrine and caffeine. Our poor hearts are already maxed out from nursing school...
