Does anyone know if Florida will issue a temporary license while you're waiting for your endorsement to go through? I just graduated LPN school in Texas and passed my boards and have my TX LVN license. I'm really wanting to get to work but I don't think anyone can hire me until I my Florida license. Anyone know anything about this process? I've already submitted my application, done my fingerprints, and nursys.

Took me about three weeks to get my RN license in Florida once I applied for endorsement. Pretty sure they do not offer a temporary.

They give you 120 days to work on a temporary license as long as you have a valid license to practice in another state. You should give the BON a call and see what steps you need to take, I know the lady told me today that it doesn't take long after you pay for your application fee. Hope this helps!!

I don't think they do temp - I couldn't get one.
Don't apply until you have a FL license. They will be more likely to take you seriously if you have one.

Got my RN license by endorsement in exactly 4 weeks to the day I mailed my application. I didn't get a temporary one.
You can always apply for jobs while waiting for the license - I did. I even interviewed and was offered a job before I received my license.
