  1. Does anyone know if Florida will issue a temporary license while you're waiting for your endorsement to go through? I just graduated LPN school in Texas and passed my boards and have my TX LVN license. I'm really wanting to get to work but I don't think anyone can hire me until I my Florida license. Anyone know anything about this process? I've already submitted my application, done my fingerprints, and nursys.
  2. I'm going through the process of checking out ITT here in Lake Mary for my ADN and here they have an agreement with Capella University which is backed by the government by scholarships for their IT programs and it is not too bad on price. It's on the approved list for government companies for their employees to go back to school so you can get your BSN without spending another 40k or so. I finished LPN school and take my boards this Friday so they said I can test out of 5 nursing classes and several of the general education classes. She said it would cut off at least 1 year of the program making it only 12-15 months long for me. My question is was everyone's financial aid able to cover most of the cost or all of it?
  3. Don't worry it's safe. Just remember wash your hands and you'll be fine.
  4. On the online application for licensing it gets to a part where it asks for you to list up to 30 states you would want to practice in. Why and what does that mean as far as the license goes?
  5. One thing you should be warned about is if you are receiving a financial aid check each quarter don't depend on when they tell you you will have it by week 6. That is so not true! It was true the 1st quarter for me but the second quarter we all got them around week 9 after harassing our financial aid advisor. It turns out you'll get your money whenever they feel like turning your attendance to the government for your Pell Grant money. So NEVER put stock on your financial aid money to help you with anything.
  6. I go to Galen in San Antonio. I'm in my 2nd quarter of the evening LVN. I have 5 kids and daycare would cost too much for me to do the day program. If you have any questions you can message me. So far I really like it. My friend went to wayland and just received her RN about a month ago. She liked it but they did mess up her paperwork so she couldn't take her boards in August and had to wait an extra 2 months for them to fix things.
  7. I'm hoping to be one. We have to have our applications in by June 30th and will be notified by August 1st if we got into the Fall program which starts September 5th. I just received my NET scores today(we had to call since we were the last testing date for Fall) She said I did excellent. When we went and took the test she said if you want to get in shoot for a 65+ on the math since that's what they look at and I received an 85 so hopefully I'll get in.
