ekg strips...what should you know

Do we have to know the causes of dysrhythmias for nclex or just treatments and how to read them?

My strip was how to treat this condition. :)

Sent from my iPhone using allnurses

Mine was about which of the rhythms you would treat with X, then the answers were strips. Know cardioversion and defibrillation, as well as basic meds.

are there any sites you recommend using. I've found some but a lot of them include blocks which we don't need to know.

I know that someone posted a good website for ECG strips on here a few weeks ago but I can't find the post now.... hopefully someone will add it to this thread.....:nailbiting:

No, I really only studied from my nursing course materials on that one.

I liked https://ACLS-algorithms.com/rhythms. There is a good overview and links to the ACLS algorithm for each rhythm. If you scroll to the bottom of the page for each rhythm, you will see a brief video giving a couple examples of rhythms on a monitor, plus meds and a couple tips specific to that rhythm.
