I love her books and reread them like another poster said!

I read Echo's books some 20 years ago. My dream to become a nurse has finally happened as I passed my nclex-pn last week. Also I just had my 50th birthday. I would recommend that all students should read her books. My nursing instructor had never read her books and I found her a copy of the one Echo wrote about become a nurse and the struggles she went through. Excellent reading for nurses and students.

i loved echo heron's books. intensive care, the story of a nurse and condition critical were two i'm really glad i read.

i found them very educational and i was touched by her writing. i wanted more. too bad she's no longer writing.

i remember thinking i wish she could have been my preceptor!

or one of my instructors in nursing school.

Your attitude will not benefit you in the nursing profession my friend. Nobody wants to have a manager, a co-worker, or a nurse providing them care to be close minded and judgemental.

And on the subject of Echo Heron, I agree that her books are well worth reading

The only advertising I saw was one for gerontology nursing, U of Phoenix, and the US Army. I'm still trying to figure out which one is associated with homosexuality. Don't ask, don't tell maybe?

I'm thinking you should check your history. Share a computer ever? Maybe you have some interesting browsing history....

When I loaned an Intensive Care paperback to a colleague at the hospital (an aspiring prenursing student), I knew all too well she'd be a fine nurse when she reported to me how her family complained about how she was so wrapped up in the book and would not dare put the book down in their company; how she lived out the struggles and contemplation so beautifully put down on paper.

I echo (hee hee) all of those who have taken the time to share their appreciation of a most talented creative writer of our time.
