Duke PNA Summer Program 2019

I’m a new nursing student and I’m considering this position. Can anyone tell me what the pay is for the position? Also, does this position happen before you graduate or after you graduate?

I just got my acceptance for the PNA program 2020, can you guys tell me what the experience was like? How are the nurse recruiters there?

@masutiraachu CONGRATS!! I was in the ED last year! It was the best experience I have ever had!! I was given a preceptor and worked her shifts.

For the ED, when applying for jobs basically you just submit an application to work there and interview. It is a really good way to get connections. I didn't really have contact with the nurse recruiters.

Thank you so much! Do you think nurse externs are guaranteed a position at Duke after graduation? Alot of other hospitals seem to do so and wanted to confirm!

@masutiraachu I can't speak for all the specialties, but for the ED it definitely seemed so!! If you are good and they want you!

Congratulations! I got into a neurosurgucal floor which was my first pick. Did you accept your offer? Did they reply back ?

Yup, I accepted my offer! They haven't responded back though, what about you?

@wm20 @masutiraachu Hey guys! I also just got accepted for 2020 as well! I'm on Medical Oncology 9300.
