Duke FNP Spring 2015

Hey all!

Same here; I am interviewing the 11 of June for the FNP program (part-time). Do any of you fellow nurses know how rigid Duke's program is? Also, does anyone know if we will be required to invest in an exam proctoring service?

Hi all! Well, had a very enjoyable/productive interview with one of the professors. I was told decisions would come out in mid August. Still seeking to connect to anyone who is already in the program to ask a few questions!

Hi Jayne! did they tell you anything about the changes that they are implementing on the new curriculum? And if you don't mind me asking, what questions did they ask you? I am having my interview tomorrow :)

Hi there! So sorry for the late reply! I just saw your post. I guess i'm a little late to give you info on the questions, but for others that may want to know, here the info. I imagine that not all professors ask the same questions. I applied for the HIV specialty and was asked to describe the work that I current do as an HIV nurse and Medical care manager. I was also asked why FNP and not adult. Another question asked about my goals or what my plans for the future are (as far as healthcare). I was also allowed ample time to ask questions If I had any.

We did not discuss the implementation on the new curriculum. However, according to an email form duke, it may cut down on visits to campus.

I just got the email notification that a decision was made and I got accepted! Anyone else?

I also got an e-mail, but my admission results are not there. I am patiently waiting for someone to return my call, but the suspense is killing me .
