  1. Bumping this, please feel free to PM me as well. I would really appreciate some feedback.
  2. Hello! I think you have some great details. Do you have a personal experience that you can add that helped you decide to pursue NP? It would be great to add that. Also, you may want to rephrase "I observe the impact of lack of quality healthcare on the family as a whole" to make it a bit more clear. Other than that I think it sounds great!
  3. Also, most programs would take a recommendation from a supervisor. Have you volunteered anywhere that could provide a recommendation letter?
  4. Hello Junebug! Did you start Gonzaga FNP program already? Do you mind sharing how it is going for you?
  5. Hello! I was recently accepted into the Gonzaga FNP Spring 2015 program. A little about me, I am from Oregon and have 2 years of nursing experience in community health. I would appreciate feedback from current students about clinicals. Is it difficult to find preceptors? I would love to hear from others that are going to start in Spring 2015!
  6. Hello! I too would like feedback on the program. Please share experiences on finding precepters. Was it difficult? Thanks.
  7. I think it just depends on you. Both NP and PA are considered mid-level providers. Both are very respected professions. However, NP falls under the board of nursing and PA is regulated by the board of medicine. FNP does not need to retest, but PA's do at least in Oregon they do, in their 5th or 6th year.
  8. I was waitlisted and have not heard back from them. I'm keeping my fingers crossed, hopefully I hear back from them
  9. Thanks for all the positive energy. I finally got my letter and I was put on the waitlist . Congrats to everyone that got in!
  10. I also got an e-mail, but my admission results are not there. I am patiently waiting for someone to return my call, but the suspense is killing me .
  11. Thanks jules2msn. Good luck in August!
  12. Hello Ladies! Congrats on being accepted!!! I am also from Oregon and have applied to Duke for FNP. Do you mind sharing if you interviewed in person, by skype or phone? Thanks!
  13. Hello everyone! My name is Angie and I am going to start University of Portland's nursing program Spring 2011. I guess I would like to know who else uses this board that is going to attend U of P's nursing program Spring 2011. It would be nice if we could start a facebook page for our cohort, so if anyone is interested let me know. I am going to be moving from Redmond, Oregon, so I was wondering if anyone had any advice on areas to live. Also, are most of you planning to take the theology courses while in the program, or are you trying to finish the courses before you start. Thanks for reading and I hope to hear from you all soon!
