Our pass/fail percentage is 78.0% -- if you get a 77.999%, you fail the course.

Brutal!

Well we accepted 52, but only 47 actually started FAll 2011. Currently, there are 23 of us, we lost one this past week.

What happened to your classmates

Some of them about 3 or 4 just felt they couldn't do it or decided that nursing wasn't for them. The rest were done out by test grades or clinical issues.

Ours is 80%. You must have a semester testing average of 80% just to take the final exam. If you don't have that 80% testing average going into the final, you are dismissed. Whatever you make on the final, at this point, doesn't truly matter, as long as it doesn't drop your overall class average below 80%. If your class average drops below 80% after the final, you are dismissed.

Our program director and instructors are considering implementing the policy that you must also make and 80% on the final exam in order to stay in the program. Ughhhh! Most people tend to do better on finals though, so I guess it's not that bad.

My school seems to average about 50% (that drop out of flunk out).

My class started with 66; 22 of us graduated. A passing grade was 84% or above; any score of 83 or less was automatic failure. If you failed, you had to wait one year to get back in.

That's terrible

Last year the school I'm attending did not loose a single person from the program. I hope it is the same this year. There are 48 of us and it's a one year ABSN.
