Out of curiosity what would you say your programs drop out rate would be. Ie 100 students in the behining 43 graduate equalling a 67% drop out rate

We started with 60 and roughly 20 are left after the first year. However, many of those will retake classes and eventually graduate.

We've lost 13% of our class or 87% are passing
Pathology I had a feeling you went to a good school...what's the name of it
that is from the class that just graduated. We had started with 80 and are down to about 50 as of right now I would say, and have finished the 2nd semester so that would give my class about a 37.5% drop out rate even though the 2nd year will be the hardest.
Those nursing programs are tough

Am I the only one who noticed that 100 minus 43 does not equal 67???
Doesn't bode well for dosage calculations.....
57 sorry! Cellphone keyboard
My program is a part-time ADN program (seven semesters straight, no summers off). Most of my cohort are working at least part-time, many full-time. Most also have at least one child.
We started with 80 in January 2011. Of those 80, there are approximately 35 left right now.
Some of them dropped out for personal reasons (family problems, pregnancy, etc.). Some of those have stayed out of the program, some of them have rejoined later on.
Some of them failed a class. Some of those have stayed out of the program, some of them have rejoined later on.
Some of them failed two classes. They're not allowed to rejoin the program at all.
We've picked up some along the way -- people who had to drop out of the full-time program for personal reasons and chose to come back in the part-time program, people who failed a class in the full-time program and decided to come back in the part-time program, and people who failed a class in last year's part-time program and rejoined the program a year later. The part-time program will probably end up graduating about 55 people in all, but I'm guessing that only around 30 of those will be from the original cohort of 80 that started in January 2011.
Good examples I want to know more reasons people drop out and percentage wise. Like is it more likely someone will drop out due to failing or for health and family reasons. From what you've all seen
