Does size of the NCLEX envelope matter?

Published

Is it true that the size of the envelope when you receive the result from the board matter? Because I read on an article that if you receive a bigger envelope that means that you failed and that envelope includes your performance result. On the other hand, if you pass the exam, your going to receive a mail with smaller envelope including your license number? Is it true guys? Im just confused..Thanks!!

I took the LVN NCLEX-PN for California, and received a small, skinny envelope with my passing result.

Size of the envelope does not matter. Everyone gets the same size just different results inside. That's an old wives tale that's been circulating for at least 30 years when we had to wait 6 weeks for our results to come in the mail.

I guess it really doesn't matter. It's not like I'm going to chuck it without reading it anyway.

*is your "O" key broke or something?*

haha!! there's n0thing wrong with my "O" key JVanRN.. I'm just used t0 type with the use 0f "0" insted 0f "O".. Even sending text messages i used "0".. But n0t with typing formal letters.. I think it's cute!! :lol2:

By the way thanks f0r the resp0nse..

Thanks als0 t0 y0u DutchgirlRN:nuke:

It would make it easier on everyones eyes if you used the regular O when typing. You did not use that when you typed your original post in the first place.

Please be considerate of others here, we do not use text messaging here either.

Oh sorry suzanne4.. Im just used to type with the use of 0.. Maybe i typed too fast on my response to one of the member so i used the other way of my typing.. Anyway thanks for being aware with the way i type..It made me realize to use the proper key..Thanks!!:nuke:

I don't know how it is in every state I can only speak for the state I originally got my nursing license in. Minnesota it is true the big envelope means plain and simply you fialed and there will be info of your performance and info on how soon you can retake boards. If you PASS the envelope is small. I speak from experience. I failed boards the first time nerves and watching the timer to much was my down fall. The second time I took boards I got the small envelope. But I had also checked the board of nursing for my license number 48 hours later. That though was 5 years ago. just as the questions on the boards has changed all things have changed so maybe the envelope thing does not hold true anymore.

:welcome:

Thanks for the info addiern..:nuke:

Hi im new here in the forum. I'm still waiting for my CA NCLEX-RN result, and I feel like so tensed! Im out of state right now, but my friend told me that the BRN have already sent me the mail for my result which I took like 2 weeks ago. And now, i'm so concern about the envelope size. Some said, "small" means PASS, "big" means FAIL. How true is it? There are also some who said, evelope sizes doesn't matter and there was one who said that she got the big envelope but she passed. Hope u guys can help me with my concern. And I still have to wait for my friend to mail me the result.
