I use one for some of my classes. It's a macbook.
I use it for pathophysiology & will probably use it for pharmacology. It's the same instructor and she gives us an outline of the notes prior to class. I have a program called Notebook that allows me to put her notes on one side of the paper and supplement them with my notes on the other side.
I've also used mine in theory sometimes. Most of our lectures are on powerpoint so I can just type my notes at the bottom of the screen in the "notes" section.
I don't use mine in seminar class (smaller group discussion) or skills lab.
Hope that's helpful!
Yes! Just about every class.
I have a tablet convertible though. So, it can either work like a regular laptop, or the screen swivels around and lies flat....then I write on it like a tablet of paper (with a stylus).
I use it as a tablet for lab (we get so many handouts each week...sometimes >10 a week using the tablet, I don't have to print them out) and for any class that I'm going to want to write more than words (draw pictures, write formulas, etc).
Otherwise, I use it as a laptop.....the tap, tap, tap isn't very loud, and I'm by no means the only one using one.
thanks God for my lapie!
i use my dell mine all the time!!!
it is great because whenever needed i can even hook up the webcam in it and record class!
i take notes, review powerpoints, and link videos to my notes, even procedure videos and things that i can find on youtube that relate to the material,
i also use it to record the audio of the class, just incase i want to go back and check for something,
and also type liky Speedy Gonzalez so i can catch up!

Does anyone use their laptop for notes in class? If so, do you use a laptop or one of those smaller laptop (like the Dell Mini 9)?
