Well, all nursing schools require some form of weekly participation. It's a way to show that you are participating in class. The easiest way is through discussion boards so most require weekly posts. I think there were a few exceptions like they may have had a quiz or a paper to turn it.
It also is another way that makes it more difficult to cheat.
WGU's RN-to-BSN completion program had no weekly discussion post requirement. Wow, that seems like more of a hassle than weekly discussion board posts. I hate talking on the phone plus I keep weird hours.

You can schedule the phone calls around your life. My calls with my my mentor literally took 3 minutes a week. By the end of my term (did it all in one 6 month term) had one call every other week. Loved wgu. So much better for me than discussion posts.
My phone call consumed perhaps 3 to 5 minutes of my time every week. I worked 12-hour night shifts during the time I was enrolled in this program, so my weekly phone call was received on Monday mornings on the commute home from work.Wow, that seems like more of a hassle than weekly discussion board posts. During the last few months of the program the frequency of these phone calls decreased to once every two weeks. Believe me, I felt that the weekly phone call was less of a hassle than any weekly discussion thread requirement.
I keep seriously weird hours (up at 230AM) and had no problem with a biweekly or even weekly phone call. My mentors called in the evening after I got home from work, we chatted for about five minutes and that was it for a week or two. I think I talked to my MBA mentor three times over the entire program (we did biweekly calls from the start and there were vacations, etc, in there).
I'm in the Capella Flexpath RN-BSN. No discussions!! It just consists of assessments (papers). As long as you submit an assessment a week you don't have to have any other contact. You do have to do something every ten days, either submit an assessment, or contact your tudor etc. I finished my first nursing course in 4 weeks. The flexpath cost is $2500 every 12 weeks, and you can do as many courses in the 12 weeks as you want. I was unable to do WGU because I live in NC.

How many papers are required for each class? If you weren't working do you think you could complete the courses faster? Thanks í ½í¸Š

I can't go to WGU because of problems with my transcripts. Are there any other online RN to BSN programs that don't require weekly discussion board questions?
