I would get a PhD. A respectable doctorate.

Are you implying that you would get a PhD in something respectable or that a PhD is more respectable than an MD?

Specializes in MICU, neuro, orthotrauma.

I sure hope this thread brings very silly posts as well! We need a seriously silly thread hijack.... haven't read one for a looooong time.

If I ever actually decided to go through with it an become a doctor, I would be an OB/GYN. Or an anesthesiologist since they make soooo much money. Possibly a surgeon. Just 'cuz it'd be fun to cut people open. Haha.

...would be constantly complaining about how my specialty is more important than any other because my specialty requires more intelligence than any other specialty. And how annoying and useless IDs are, I can order my own abx thank you! GI makes more money than anybody else... can I have a colonoscopy with that please? whine, whine, whine, yeah, cards too, ya just don't need to do so many caths either! whine, whine, whine, somebody should tell Obama this so he cuts their reimbursement not mine... whine, whine, whine, and did I mention that neurologists are ridiculous people? :chuckle

Specializes in ER.

I would be a doctor that sits in an office away from all the crazy nurses!!!

Just kidding! You couldn't pay me enough to become an MD!

OK second wind, this one's for you

I would be respectful to my fellow medical professionals, nurses, CNAs, PCTs, phlebs, housekeeping, etc, etc.

Specializes in CICU.

I would be a neurosurgeon!

I would be a divorcee as I don't think my DH would stick around through the madness of medical school!

Dermatologist, Hands down!! Think about it, you very rarely have any emergencies, and you have oodles of patients who NEVER GET WELL....$$$$$
