Hi all,
I attended the Curry Info Session last night and it was very helpful. I thought I would highlight the info here for those that could not attend and are interested in Curry. Curry is definitely my 1st choice because of cost, convenience, clinical placement and class size. I am applying for a January 2013 start date.

I just wanted to say that I was also at the Information Session, and I think you did a great job summarizing for those that could not attend.

Thank you!! Do you know how long they accept science courses for?
There is no expiration on the sciences, as long as you earned a B- or better in them. However, just make sure that they had a lab component; otherwise, it will not count. Also, if you have any questions about whether the courses you took count towards the prerequisites, just shoot an email to *********and she can vet your courses. She is very nice and has answered many questions for me over this past year regarding prerequisites and such.

Thank you so much! I don't know how I missed all this! I was told by everyone that sciences expire after 7 yrs.. some schools 5.... and I stopped searching and was about to do my sciences over this past sept 2011. but I waited because I was due with my 3rd baby.
Then found out UMASS Bos takes them for 10yrs. 2012 is ten yrs so if I don't get it I am scared!
Good to know about Curry... pretty local to me and sounds like a good program.
Do you know how long BNS takes for a transfer student? (already have associates and also completed SCIENCE courses A&P 1 & 2 class and lab, and college chem & lab.

Do you already have a Bachelor's? The accelerated BSN is a second-degree program. If you only have an Associates, you would have to go the traditional route at Curry and I am not sure what the process is for a transfer.
Hi... I do not have a bachelors.. only an associates degree. And have also completed pre-req sciences. So I will call to get the transfer info... but still helped to get some of the info!

Class size is 32 and they receive approx. 300 applicants per year.Spring Semester - JanuaryNo clinicals first semester. All course work. 2 days a week: Tu/Th
I'm in the current ACCEL class and just wanted to mention that we have the largest class they have ever had with 35 students. Also first semester is 2 days of courses, but also a Wednesday lab. So you are required to be on campus three days a week.
Yes, lab is for the whole semester. I guess in previous years lab was only half the semester and students said they didn't feel prepared enough for clinical. It meets for one and a half hours each week and the class is divided into two groups, so either 1p-2:30p or 2:30p-4p lab.
