I thought I'd pass along the info....
If you are thinking of applying by Spring '09 and so on for the nursing program to one of the MCCDNP schools, the current wait is 3.3 semesters:eek:... excluding those that are in a partnership programs with the hospitals and/ or scholarships.
But I wish you guys all the best of luck and we will all one day see each others as nurses:nurse:

The way I understand it, part of the wait is based on the popularity of the school you choose. Which Maricopa Community College has the least wait?
from what i know, you really can't tell which schools has the shorter wait. It really depends on the student's flexibility on which program they are willing to attend.

I just checked my application status today at 8:50am and noted that the number of applicants on the waiting list was at 2003 people WOW
I have a feeling we all may be waiting for an extended period of time! 3.3 semesters seems almost short in light of the number of applicants on the waiting list.
I applied in Feb 08 and my application is stamped Feb 22nd 2008 at 8:00:51am. My preference is for Glendale CC Part time program(s) but at this point I think I need to be a little more flexible with my program options (within reason). Good thing I'm working right now so I have something to do and pay my bills before school starts- I'm thankful for that!
Can't wait to start my program, even if I have to wait a few years
Keeping positive (or trying... :)

funny i was checking too and saw that 2003!!!! this is absolutely amazing, i can not see 3.3 semesters wait. i think it can be shorter or a lot longer. question for you, do you know when they place for spring 09?
knit1purl2,
i have no idea when they place for spring 09. i won't be offered a slot- that is for sure! i think that the way they place is different with every mcc program. also, each applicant has 10 days (i believe its 10...) to accept or decline the spot they are offered. if they decline or do not respond, the slot could be offered to somebody else. our program placement could happen decently last minute it would seem. when did you get on the waiting list? what programs are you waiting for?

I know this question wasn't directed at me, but I know you go to http://healthcare.maricopa.edu/studentstatus then you type in your social security number and it will tell you your date/time stamp and all that other info.
