Current wait time for MCCDNP...

I thought I'd pass along the info....:twocents:

If you are thinking of applying by Spring '09 and so on for the nursing program to one of the MCCDNP schools, the current wait is 3.3 semesters:eek:... excluding those that are in a partnership programs with the hospitals and/ or scholarships.

But I wish you guys all the best of luck and we will all one day see each others as nurses:nurse:

Placement (or atleast the bulk of the placements) are during October and March. So, 500 seats are offered a year, plus the people who go other routes for their Nursing School.

HTH

2014 people on the waiting list now.

i was told that they will be doing placements for spring '09 in mid-october.

UPDATE......

the current wait time now is 3 semesters (current applicants divided by total placement capacity for the semester)...thats including the new Banner Nurse Fellows Program being added to Estrella Mountain CC, Gateway CC, and Mesa CC...and also added is the Catholic Healthcare West partnering with Chandler-Gilbert CC. I am assuming they will start it next semester since those spots hasn't been filled yet, and of course, the special app process along with it....

I have attached the whiteboard site which shows the current capacity for each CC's.....

I am wondering how you know if you were accepted or not. Does it say on the community college website that you have been placed? Or do you get a phone call or letter? I applied in august 2008 but work at scottsdale healthcare. I know I probably have a long while to wait still. Just wondering what happens when you are accepted so I know what to expect. Thanks!!!:specs:

Yep, 3 semesters is just about right. And its a horrible horrible wait. Definitely use all 5 of your top picks though to increase your chances of getting in earlier, unless you have no way of getting to a school that's further away. I've *heard* that Estrella and Glendale tend to have shorter waits, but I don't know for sure.

Oh, and you can find out by going to the MCCDNP site and logging in with your student id, and they'll also mail you a letter.
