CSULB Fall 2014

Hey alternates, have you all received anything in the mail with further instructions? I received an email notifying us that we need to attend orientation in order to hold our spots. I know that those accepted have a bunch of things to complete before orientation, and I'm wondering if/how this applies to us alternates.

I called ------------ last week and she said that there hasn't been any movement on the alternate list. Guess we'll all find out at the orientation.

I am on the alternate list and I did get that email about having to attend orientation to reserve a spot. I was going to call ------------- to see if my spot had been moved but thanks for the update. I was going to decline another school this week but now I don't know what to do. I was thinking that since the deadline to accept or deny was in June, that the wait list might get shorter as people hear back for other schools. I wonder if most people have already accepted? Did ----------------- tell you anything else in regards to how wait lists have resulted in the past?

Also, I did find it strange that alternates just show up to orientation. She didn't mention that we need to bring anything with us, so I guess we just need to show up to reserve our spots.

I too received just an email saying show up for orientation. What type of things do the accepted students have to get done prior to orientation? I think we will probably know more by June when the deadline to accept/decline arrives and alternates will start being accepted into the program. The wait is so hard! Hopefully people decline so we have a chance!

A couple days after the interview in March

Typically for orientation I remember needing all the titers, immunizations, physical and TB tests done. There will be an orientation packet with all the information they will send/post online ahead of time.

Did anyone receive anything in the past couple of days? The last thing I got was that the orientation had a room change to HSC 100.

Yes just received an email with 3 pdf attachments that need to be printed.. one is orientation package, one is nursing handbook, and other is a campus map

I'm coming from the other direction, but I would if I were in San Diego.

Has anyone finished filling out their medical records on certified background yet? I have them uploaded, but they are still "pending". Has anyone had any "completed" yet?? Thanks!!!
