CSN Spring 2015

Is anyone applying for Spring 2015 Nursing Program 2015? I applied for Fall 2014 with 37 points and will be applying for Spring 2015 with 38 points. Does anyone have pointers for the application process? Has anyone gone to the limited entry workshop? I have been discouraged, and need some uplifting information.

I picked up my instructions and they went over the highlighted portions, but on 1/15 it says that you will take the ATI Test after orientation. Does anyone know what that test covers?

I was just looking at mine too and wondering the same thing. Maybe that was from prior semesters when the Teas could have been taken after admissions into the program? I pray I do not have to take it again.

It's just a critical thinking test guys. Nothing to study for.

Okey my heart dropped for a quick second!! Thank you for letting us know! ! Lol!

I signed in as an alternate this morning. According to the lady I talked to, every alternate was accepted in last semester. That gives me some hope.

I'll see you all on the 14th.

Do you guys know if it's recommended we by our medical supplies at orientation on the 14th from CSN or is there a place cheaper in town to buy the stuff we need?

Hey everyone! :) I am new to this forum but I have been reading your guys' post for a couple days now! Thank you for all the helpful information and congratulations to those who made it!!! I am looking forward to meeting all of you guys on Nov 14 during the orientation!! I am wondering though, who else is enrolling for the toolbox class from Dec 15-Jan 14, 5 days a week? Did you guys already enrolled or still thinking about it? Are we allowed to register for those classes now because when I picked up my acceptance letter, it said on the blue sheet to NOT register for classes. Does that only apply to the nursing classes during the program?

You can register for toolbox and it is okay. When the lady was reviewing the sheets with me and she said don't register for classes, I specifically asked if toolbox was ok to sign up for, and she said yes.

@nikki2015 thank you so much! I'm going to register then so that I can be more prepared. Driving to Charleston 5 days a week is a little too much for me, especially I live like 30 minutes away, but I know and heard from other people that it will be very beneficial once you're in the program!

OMG Im really excited and a little scared, I am glad I am taking this pre class!!!!!

Hey guys, I'm definitely looking into registering for the Toolbox class! A friend of mine who got into the program last semester actually suggested it to me! She didn't take it herself but she was very firm on me taking it and I figured anything will help in order to stay a step ahead!

Anyways, I'm very very excited to meet many of you guys on November 14th during Orientation! I actually had booked a cruise for my boyfriend and I eight months prior to receiving my phone call about being accepted into the program and the cruise was from Nov. 9th - Nov. 16th. The lady was very apologetic but she was clear on one thing, if you miss orientation you give away your spot! And I'm like "Oh Hell No, I'm not missing this opportunity!" Long story short I had to frantically call my agency to book a cruise 2 days after the first orientation LOL...nursing school before anything is my new motto from now on! Lol
