Does anyone know if I broke the student conduct code at my school and had a phone meeting with the Dean if it will show on my criminal history check. I never went to jail, had court or anything.

I think it depends on what the infraction was. The student code of conduct covers many issues, not all of which are criminal offences. Without knowing more information, I would assume you are ok if the extent of your punishment was a conversation with the dean. If law enforcement was involved...well, that could be a different story.

Why not go to the source and ask your school what effect your misconduct will have? After all, your school is the only entity who can say with authority what actions it took.
How would any of us know?

Over the phone the dean said nothing is made public record because it is university proceedings not criminal proceedings. She also said the only people that will ask for these records is if I apply for a masters program and they call to request my student conduct record.

I think you answered your own question here. But ask the specific question to your dean if you're truly concerned.

No. It will not show up on s criminal background check. But yes it is part of your permanent record and can be divulged to future schools and employers
Thank you for your response
Thank you, she also did say all student conduct will be thrown out when a student receives their AA which I will have next summer semester 2016
Sounds like you got off easy. Don't make any further stupid mistakes
