I am in Columbus, OH and want to attend Columbus State Community College LPN program.
The cost of their LPN program including books, scrubs, classes, fees, clinicals, medical equipment, NCLEX, parking, etc is $8,000 out-the-door.
Is that a fair price for a LPN license? BTW, there is no waiting list.
Thanks.

That sounds really reasonable.
PS: My LPN program (all-inclusive like yours) was $650.......in 1976!

In 2015, I would say $8,000 in tuition and fees for an LPN program is extremely reasonable. Just for a point of comparison, the private nonprofit Los Angeles area LVN program that I attended cost $19,995 in tuition and fees when I enrolled in 2004.

Low cost, no wait list sounds too good to be true, how are the nclex pass rates? My lpn program was $18,500, paying that out of pocket while in school was rough, bu if it were $10,500 cheaper i would jump on it without a heartbeat

I just graduated from a county vo tech lpn program the cost was 5050 but it didn't include books, uniforms & nclex & state fees. So approx. $6000.

I'm currently in a program that is roughly 30k, all inclusive. In northern California, will end up LVN II. 8k with no wait is awesome!

Honestly, that's a steal! I paid $14k and nothing was included. I had to buy my own books, uniforms, stethoscope, bp cuff, everything!! This class too was a straight one year no waiting list.
