actually i read a very go0d bo0k 0f MOSBY regarding sickle cell crisis.. y0u have t0 cho0se administer 0xygen 0n the 0pti0n if the 0xygen is a n0nrebreather mask because it delivers Fi02 0f 90-100%.. And if y0u have t0 cho0se between administering 0xygen via nasal cannula and IV fluids, g0 with the IV fluids because 02 via nasal cannula 0nly delivers 40% 0f 02..Hope it helps!!

the question is what do you do first if a patient comes to er with sickle cell crisis? answer to one book is administer iv fluid, another book says correct answer is administer oxygen. so what is the correct answer????????
