Hi,
It is my understanding that The College Network is NOT a school only a publisher that sells you books. Make sure you investigate this before signing up. Good luck!

The College Network is not an LPN-to-RN program. The College Network is nothing more than a publishing company engaged in the business of selling study materials that eventually lead to a nursing degree from either Excelsior College or ISU. Therefore, Excelsior College or ISU are one of the 2 schools you're really dealing with.
Most people are able to earn their LPN-to-RN bridge program nursing degree from Excelsior College or ISU without ever going through expensive publishing companies such as the College Network and RUE. In addition, people have attempted to get out of the College Network's contract, and all were unsuccessful.
Buyer beware. . .

I can attest to how hard it is to get out of that contract! I signed up with TCN/ISU back in February 2007 in CA. I moved to IL in Feb 08 and was told that my costs for clinicals were going to go up due to my move. I talked to TCN and they refused to let me out of my contract. They are very firm on the 3 day rule for canceling that contract. MAKE SURE!!! you can handle the self-paced environment. I had a really hard time trying to teach myself chemistry and algebra from the materials from TCN. I went and purchased several other study aides and still didn't pass the CLEP for those two. I am just going to suck it up and pay off TCN, but I am enrolling in a local nursing program. GL, HTH

Study guides can be found used or new on ebay. Type in Excelsior College or Indiana State University in your search. You don't have to go through TCN. I just received an info email from ISU the other day that states you can use TCN, testing services (to test out), or can take college classes at your local community college. The same is true of Excelsior College. This info can be verified on the websites of both schools. Good luck with your plans for school.
thanks for the info.... I think i will look on ebay and try to test out that way.
