There are a bunch of threads on the Distance Learning forum about The College Network (TCN) and the other EC-middleman publishing companies, and members' experiences with and opinions about them. Please look them up and read through them before you decide anything.
The first thing to be aware of is the TCN is not a school or degree-granting institution of any kind -- it is a publishing company that sells you study materials to help you get a degree from Excelsior College (EC). Many people feel that they are able to complete the EC program just fine with only the materials provided by EC. Also, if you really want the TCN modules, they are often available on eBay at a big discount.
Also be aware that the TCN counselors, advisors, or whatever they call themselves, are salesmen, pure and simple. They will tell you whatever they have to in order to get you to sign a contract with them. Once you sign the contract, you will be legally obligated for the full cost of their program, regardless. If you change your mind later and decide you don't need their materials after all, aren't happy with the materials they provide you, something happens in your life that changes your plans about completing your degree through EC, or whatever, you will still have to pay them the full amount you owe them, regardless.
Please do read over the existing threads here, research all your options, and think very carefully about your choices before making a decision!
Best wishes! :)

The College Network is not a nursing program. The College Network is simply an overpriced publishing company that sells materials and books through Excelsior College. People can complete their distance nursing program without ever having to go through RUE.
This is why Excelsior warns of publishing companies such as RUE and the College Network.

I spoke with a man tonight about the LPN to RN through the collegenetwork. It sounds good but now I am really not sure about what to do. Did you learn anything more about them?
How do I search for this thread? I'm interested in the college network program.
How do I find the distance learning forum?

Please really take the time to read the many many threads about The College Network. They are not a college. They are a company that sells you "modules" which are their version of textbooks. You do not need to use them. Go directly to Excelsior College. This is where your degree will ultimately come from. https://www.excelsior.edu/
Hi, ok, so I have presented some of the concerns about college network to the salesman coming to my home tonight. He says that CN does supply the texts which he says gives you the content to focus on and not extra material. He said that I will take my exams through Excelsier. He said that he would not purchas the material through ebay. I just don't know what to do. I want the LPN nclex review CN offers for free. He says that it has many questions that are similar to the boards. Any suggestions. Total value is about 8,300 for entire course.

oops hit the thank you instead of the quote, anywho.
On top of the 8,000 for the study material you have to pay over $200 to EC for each test, there is a registration fee's, yearly fees, as well as the 2500 for CPNE also. Which is why most say bypass the middle man and study the EC content guide and purchase your books through EC, BTW I am not an EC student this is info I obtained by reading post here.
the one thing that i am struggling with is that the people from the college network guarentee your passing and say theyll send tutors out to you if your not doing well. im afraid to go directly thru excisor because im not sure if the materials they give you are as helpful as the college networks.. they sure are great slaes people haha because i cant decide!
