Cognitive informatics

Hi I am taking informatics for my BSN. I'm confused about what exactly cognitive informatics is. Could anyone help?

Seriously? Have you searched online? One of the primary purposes of a bsn is learning how to do research.

If i were to answer your question, would you cite me as your source? This may sound harsh but you need to do your own homework.

That's just rude. I came to this website to ask for other nurses opinions . Didn't have to be so crappy about it. I will be leaving this site... thanks, now I see nurses really do eat their young!

Someone else mistaking us for Google. And with Google, you don't even need to sign up for an account.

OP, we are willing to help those who put in the effort to do some work/thinking of their own and sharing their results with us first. Plus, for something like this, do you want facts or opinions?

No, you created an account to have strangers do your homework. Big difference!!

Nope, you came here hoping we would be gullible enough to answer your thinly disguised bid for homework assistance.

Since your original post was two hours ago and you did a rapid flounce out of here when you didn't get the answers you wanted, I'm guessing you have either a quiz or a paper due sometime today.

We have no problem with clarifying information that you have already researched. There's a wealth of seasoned nurses here, and we really are a great resource. However, the expectation is that you at least make an effort to look things up before coming here.

You didn't "ask for other nurses opinions". And stop with the nurses eat their young nonsense. You aren't in high school anymore. No one is going to spoon feed you. At the college level you are considered an adult learner, and part of that is absorbing information on your own, and only asking for clarification of something if you can't find an answer after searching, or you get conflicting information.

To put it in perspective for you; I never did my daughter's homework, I'm darn sure not going to do a complete stranger's.

Well that escalated quickly.

I was intrigued enough to Google. Seems as though this is a new avenue of informatics research & development. Very interesting.

They always do when a student does what this OP did!!

I did the same thing which is why my reply to the op was worded so strongly.

So did I. I had never heard of it.
