I am wondering how extensive your class got in practicing on each other. How touchy/feeley did it get? I'm just going to be blunt here and ask, did it feel awkward if you were overweight and had others in your class being able to see you up close and personal. Just wondering....I am feeling a bit self conscience....

I think you just practice you BP and Pulse- no one see's your body. I just started this course.
Only when you do your clinicals you need to wear your uniform and name id and white shoes.
No not my college- FL. I had go to a uniform place and get my own. Cost me 6.00
and 55.89 for my uniform with campus logo.

It can be a bit awkward. I was the biggest in my class. We had to practice things like making the bed, transfers, dressing and ROM on each other. After awhile we were used to each other. When you are in your clinicals you will have all types of patients. Good luck

Our school supplied us w/ the ID badge and uniform. The uniform is included in the tuition fee.
What is ROM?

Its a bit weird at first esp cause you dont know each other - but you get used to it. We just did transfers, positioning, bedmaking and vitals on each other - we used the dummies for other skills. Although - there were 2 guys in our class and our teacher talked them into letting all the rest of us girls practice shaving their faces once - talk about up close and personal

Range of motion. When I was in class we made a bed, did vitals, nail care, pivot transfer, ambulation, and turning with another classmate.
I will never forget someone asked do we have to do PERI care on classmates:eek:
