Today was my son's first day of kindergarten. I'm so proud.

Awwww.....that's wonderful. I remember my dd's first days of kindergarten. Did you cry? Did he fit right in? I know you can't wait to go and pick him up. Is it a full day program.

I didn't get to go in with him, but we had parent orientation Tuesday night. He goes to a small private school (163 students in K-12) - my Mom taught the kindergarten class there for years, and now it's taught by a family friend who also goes to our church - so he knows her. He was also in K-4 at this school last year, so most of his classmates are returning from there. I'm sure he'll fit right in, and he was excited to go! There class goes from 7:55 - 11:00, but since I work full-time, he'll be in after-school care there until 5pm.

I submitted my application for the spring this week. I have to pick up the last of my texts today. I bought on Amazon and think I got a really good deal:)

I am taking A & P2 (Starts tonight), Nutrition (online), Hist (online), and French. The last three are not required but they will transfer to my BSN!!!

I'm finishing my prereqs. (A&P I,II, Micro next summer) this year and hope to be in nursing school the fall of 2004, and graduate the spring of 2006.

Why do schools have to have such vastly different pre-reqs? UGH! Sorry I'm just frustrated and venting.

Was looking into schools in/near the town my hubby is possibly moving to, and their pre-reqs are almost totally different than those for the college near me where I had planned on applying.

Yeah, especially at the rate I'm going (can only take so many classes a term and hold down a job too) :)

You may want to see what might transfer, manna. A lot of the gen-ed pre-reqs transfered to where I'm going now (from when I got my bachelors degree). I received a packet from a school regarding their RN-BSN program that included what sort of classes transfered from my community college (where I'm at now) and I'm going to try & take those while working on my ADN since it'll be cheaper.

Anyway, what I mean to say is that sometimes some stuff will transfer even though it may not seem like it would. For example, for my ADN I needed to have a humanities class...but when I was getting my BA, I took a theatre class and that transferred as the humanities.

All my classes will transfer to the women's college that's near where I live now (well, by "near" I mean within 60 miles LOL).. I think I'll have my AS in general studies after this semester is over. I'm still planning on applying to nursing school next year, whether I go or not will probably depend on more if I can afford to, not where/if my husband moves. I'm staying in the classes I'm enrolled in... I already paid for these books and opened the packages (so "no return" policy in effect).

I don't know, I'm indecisive. :)

Update on chem - 2 weeks down, 13 weeks to go. Had my first night (actually second class meeting, I missed the first one) for Chem last night. It wasn't nearly as bad as I though it would be... even though we were in there for 4 hours, the time passed quickly. I'll admit, I was scared out of my wits about Chem after reading my coworker's notes from last week, but it seems very

doable now....... The prof seems like a great guy, tells lots of funny stories (one last night about a PhD eating in the lab - a no-no - who ended up consuming the equivalent of 3 boxes of ex-lax by gases being absorbed by his candy bar LOL), and seems willing to help his students in any way possible. YAY.

Only bad news - he's the only prof in the area that teaches Chem, and he isn't offering Chem 2 at night in the spring. I was hoping to take Orgo in the summer, so that's going to throw me off. Maybe if enough of the students in Chem 1 need Chem 2, we can talk him into it.. *crossed fingers*

I didn't get home until 11pm last night (class gets out at 10:00)... next week, I'm going to ride with my coworker who's also in the class (and is my lab partner), so hopefully that'll take some of the edge off that nasty commute. :)

When I got home, everyone was asleep in my bed (dog, 2 boys and husband), sippy cups and oreo crumbs scattered everywhere the eye could see, Harry Potter still blaring on the DVD player. Men! LOL

Okay so I started Physio, major butterflies goin on here! When I took the first part (A & P), it was the Physio that just about killed me. But this guy seems easier. All exams (minus one 30 pt. essay) is MULTIPLE GUESS, I MEAN CHOICE!!!! Although sometimes that can be harder. I hear when he gives notes, they are all written out for us to copy. That's kinda cool, so I don't miss anything. He seems nice enough.

Yesterday, we had to convert english measurements to metric I know that should be easy, but I was the last one in that class! He was totally nice about so many of us not knowing the stuff.

Anyway, first lecture today, wish me well!
