Class of 2006

Hey yall!

Just wondering if there are any of us out there still working on pre-reqs - hopeful nursing graduates of 2006?

Roll call! :)

I'm the 26yo mama of two boys (5yrs and 18mos). I work FT right now and am taking my pre-reqs at night. Hoping to get into a BSN program and start my nursing core/clinicals in fall 2004!

Jessica-

I'm hoping to get into the ADN program this fall. I take the NET in a few weeks. I hear it's not too bad. I've pulled out all of my old college alregba books to practice for the math portion.

i thought the NET was really easy. :) i am by far not an A student, and i aced that test. Don't sweat it, it is one of the "nice" tests :chuckle

How long did it take to get your NET grade? I am preparing to take the test in a couple of weeks and was just curious.

Deb

Agent, have you gotten your results yet? Been thinking about ya. :)

I have even started pre-req's yet...I am starting this summer, not sure how long it will take but hoping to apply to the Nursing Program Fall 2006. I plan to work really hard this summer, Fall, Spring, Summer, etc....All while being a working mother of two girls 14 and almost 12. I am so determined though so I know I can do this.

Kathy

We got ours in a week.

Jessica-

The way my R.N. program works is as follows: first, you submit an application with all your pre-req's listed. If they like your grades, then you're invited to take the NET exam. If they like your score, then you're called for an interview and you have to submit a letter to the dean titled "Why I want to be a nurse". Then, they pick. So far, I've made the first cut, and am waiting to take the test in two weeks. If all goes well, I'll start this Fall. I can't wait!!!!!

By the way, what did you do professionally before your career interest in nursing?

TexMedic~WOW you are almost there. Congrats. I hate the whole 2 yr waiting period. Some people are so eager to start their career but the waiting list is so long. But well worth it! LOL Well, I do credit card customer service (call center work). I hate it. It is just awful. What is that you do?

Jessica

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to share some good news....the out-of-county CC that I have been accepted to sent me letter stating that they are going to accept 27 of the 40 credits that I earned at my current CC....Whoohoooo!!! I am so excited...

Fatima

good for you ;)

congrats, fatima!

start nursing in fall along with with some courses that are pre-reqs for most of you. Going to Sandhills CC for ADN. In this program you can take the "pre-reqs" as you call them along with the program. I graduate from hs on may 28 and then start nursing school in fall 2004. SO excited can't wait.

Doesn't look like I'm going to be class of 2006 after all - I got into the nursing program, got the scholarship, but I don't think I'm going to pass this darn online chemistry course. How depressing is that? :o
