A&P 1: The Spring '05 Anatomy & Physiology Club
Go to Bigwords.com and it will search all the online stores you can buy texts from new and used. I always seem to find Amazon as being the cheapest. I have gotten books from half.com and abebooks.com as well. Lots of resources out there where you can get your books much cheaper than at the school bookstore. Hope this helps! Kathy

North Harris Community College ??
The only problem is, those schools are so far...where did you go? What other schools in Houston do you know about? Thanks!

North Harris Community College ??
This is where I am going right now....I am only taking pre-req's right now. But I am gonna attempt to apply in March for Fall 2005, although I hear the competition is very tough. My first choice is Montgomery College, but you can put down a 2nd and 3rd choice too. I live in the Oak Ridge area. Good luck!

Texans attitudes toward interacial couples
I live in the Houston area and it's common to see interacial couples, and no one ever seems to think it's strange. We are a white couple and have very good friends that are interacial and they hang out with other white couples and other black couples and they never seem to act like it's a problem. Their daughter and my daughter are good friends too. So come on, we welcome you!!

Can anyone tell me
Oh okay thank you. The cc in my area has several different locations and one of them offer the block curriculum while the other ones offer the integrated and I was just wondering to up my chances of getting in should I apply to that one as well. When you apply you get a 1st choice, 2nd and 3rd but their are 2 other schools not included in those choices, that you can apply to as well. I just wanted to find out the differences and the outcome, etc. I really appreciate the info you gave me, thanks!

Can anyone tell me
What exactly is the difference in an integrated curriculum and a blocked curriculum in the Nursing program? What are the differences in the end result? Thanks

Biology question
For the A&P I class, under pre-req's it says that another Biology class strongly recommended, does that mean you have to take the strongly recommended course first or can you go right to A&P?? Does anyone know? Thanks!!

Question about pre-reqs
Hey Purplemania do you think if you do okay on the placement test then you can start with the required pre-req's? I looked at each class to see what the pre-reqs are and it includes "placement by testing". I just wonder will they say okay you need to take all the basics first like in English, etc.

University or Community College?
That is great you found that out Honeybee! Do you know when you'll be taking the ASSET test yet? I agree with GracefulRN, you will make a great nurse!

University or Community College?
No I don't know that, darn. I know what you mean about the Algebra, I have been out of school much longer than you. It was like starting over for me. But it's coming around. I am positive I will have to take an Algebra class though. But I know I need it. And I wish you intelligence for your test too!!

University or Community College?
Oh and there are other North Harris colleges closer than far North too, I was just saying that is why I chose that one.

University or Community College?
I already have the Tasp study guide and some others I bought too, they have really helped out alot. I have been studying them for about 3 1/2 weeks now. I am taking the test on March 26th. Yes that would be a good idea for you to take the pre-reqs at HCC and then you can decide where you want to go after that.

University or Community College?
Hopefully Fall 2005, I am hoping to attend Montgomery College because I live really far North. I am starting my pre-reqs this summer. I have to take an ASSET test first...I am nervous about it.

Have you thought about any of the North Harris Community Colleges? I like the looks of their program. That is where I am going to go for the ADN program.
