4.0 Challenge!

Hello everyone! I'm a pre-Nursing student with two semesters of pre-reqs to do before I can apply to the Nursing Program at my University. Who wants to start a support thread and help motivate each other? We can list our classes for the fall and report back with updates/venting/encouraging as needed. I'll start:

A&P I with Lab

Fundamentals of Organic & Biochem with Lab

Nursing 110 (a survey introductory course at my school serving as an overview of Nursing)

Sociology 105

I'd love to hear what everyone is taking! Good luck, you can do this!

I am taking A&P I and college algebra this semester

A&P II and Micro next semester....I can apply to one of the nursing programs that I am applying to this spring and with ANY luck be accepted in the fall class....that is the ideal situation!

Hey tesouthern! I saw you in another thread I posted in and noticed we're in the same area. What nursing programs are you applying to, if you don't mind me asking?

This semester I am taking A&P I with lab and English 1302. Then I will be left with only A&P II/lab to take next semester. I too, accept the challenge!

Bio 101 and lab

English 101

Beginning Algebra

Psy 201

A&P II with lab and Microbiology with lab, then I'll be done with pre-reqs. :-)

I accept the challenge. Best of luck to everyone this semester!

Way to go with your preparation, especially with such a full load. So you are able to apply to the nursing program of your choice while your science pre-reqs are in progress?

Yes I am thank goodness! I'm applying to 3 colleges. 1 in vt and 2 in nh. It looks like I'll have to take another loan out which I was hoping to avoid, but you gotta do what you gotta do. And when I get my rn job (God willing) ill be able to start to pay it back :)

And thank you!

And thank you!

You're welcome, and I hear you! Our hard work will surely pay off in the end. Good luck this semester, future nurse

Ohh, I'm in on this one! Just Bio w/Lab and Lifespan Development here, but with working as an LNA and being the single mom to 3 boys under 5, I'm freaking out a bit! A's are a must for me, though, so here goes nothing!

This seems cool! :D

Just a little background: I'm starting my FIRST year of nursing school straight from high school :) I was admitted into the Rutgers School of Nursing and I'm so excited to start college!

I will be taking

1. Anatomy & Physiology

2. Expository Writing

3. History of the Pacific

4. Academic & Professional Development

5. Dance Appreciation

6. Beginner's Chinese

I want to go to grad school in the future so a high GPA is a must. Good luck to everyone here :D Let's all aim for 4.0's this semester!

For those of you who want to improve study skills, watch this guy's videos:

This is just one long and boring video out of many but trust me, it helps!!! He's a genius when it comes to improving technique :)

I'm up for this challenge!! I got a 4.0 last semester!! My fingers are crossed I can maintain it!!

I'm taking:

A&P I w/ lab

Safety & First Aid (excited about this one cause I'll be CPR certified)

Medical Terminology
