2016 CEP Information Sessions

Published

Does anyone know the upcoming dates and times for the NAU information sessions? I submitted my application to be in the Maricopa nursing pool a couple of days ago so I don't have access to any of the information yet. I am just wanting to get ahead so I can apply for the 2016 Fall CEP cohort:D

Anyone else planning on applying for 2016 Fall CEP?

They are no longer doing information sessions or application sessions for the CEP programs. They are not doing information sessions because the info is all online on the Maricopa Nursing website. For applying to the CEP program, you just have to be on the waitlist and then go and meet with a nursing advisor and turn in the CEP application. I'm in Block 3 at MCC and got this info myself directly from the MCC Nursing Staff just last week when I was asking for a friend. :)

Also, Fall 2016 CEP (with NAU classes beginning Summer 2016) placements have already been made or are in progress. The applications were due about a month ago for that. The next placement will be in May/June and that's for Spring 2017 start (NAU classes beginning Fall 2016).

I've recently applied a couple weeks ago too! I'm meeting with the CEP nursing advisor this Wednesday to ask about NAU's CEP program. I'm anxious to find out about how long the current 2016 waitlist?

They are done with CEP pretty much for the fall 2016 start. You will have to wait until springs 2017 to start (: ill be applying in may!!

Yes I'm aware I missed the Fall 2016 program. However, I was more interested in wondering how long the current waitlist just for the regular RN program through Gateway. I still have to take microbiology before I apply, I think that's a prerequisite for the CEP program.

I would apply to the maricopa one first. I would worry about cep after applying for the maricopa program. There really isn't a wait list for either of them. I'm applying in May and will be expecting to get called for spring 2017 start

I've already applied, but yes I'm probably going to try and apply for the CEP Spring 2017 in May too.

The waitlist at MCC is 0 currently, so I would imagine Gateway is the same or no more than one semester for the regular RN program.

So do you think I should be ready to start in January 2017 if I apply in May?

No one can really tell you for sure. When you apply just be ready to start or wait, that's the beautify of nursing school for ya. Good luck.

There are a lot more pre-req's than just microbiology for the CEP programs. Did you realize that? Have you been to the CEP info site? Concurrent Enrollment Programs (CEP) | Academic & Student Affairs | Maricopa Community Colleges

The regular programs don't have a huge wait list anymore, according to most people talking to most advisors (I am quoting everything I have read lately on here as well as the Facebook groups). GL!

Question: if you get into the Spring 2017 CEP start then would you start your first university class in Fall 2016 or would you start with that in Spring 2017?
