Hi everyone, I applied to CCBC and Harford Community College. HCC has a point system so I know where I average out at, but does CCBC? Is there anyway to calculate how well your chances are, my TEAS scores aren’t great but my GPA is a 3.65 most of my classes I took are from HCC so I’m not sure if that matters

Has anyone else applied to Harford?

I applied last year for Fall 2021 to Harford. I had 11 points and was not accepted (which was to be expected I was still in Micro). CCBC doesn't have a point system. I think they just start with their basics and weed people out from there (low TEAS, not finished prerequisties, etc). I also took all of my sciences at Howard and I was told it didn't matter. They look at total prerequisite GPA and you must have a CCBC GPA of 2.0.

Have you checked your application in the portal yet? We are all anxiously waiting ?

Yes, mines says decision made! I’m very nervous, I wish Harford was more organized like this! They don’t have any kind of online system and they are always so behind it sucks! Hopefully I get into one of them!

Hi,

I also applied to harford.

For my Harford friends- I heard that if you check your OWLNET and your major changes from "pre-nursing" to "nursing" then you're in. Just another thing to obsess over while we wait LOL

Ugh. I know my hopes were already lost at a Friday email after their email response but now it’s confirmed ? I hope it comes soon. My guess is by the time Spring registration opens on the 18th

I was too hoping that today would have been the day but from reading other forums it was around the 15th of October and next Friday is the 15th so ?

Would the seat fee appear under “miscellaneous charges” or Spring 2022? Maybe that’s what they are waiting for. They can’t add it to Fall 2021.

That’s what I was thinking. Im not sure where it appears but my guess is Spring and that’ll appear when registration opens I think

What date did you find out fall 2021 decisions?

Applications were due 1/31 and I got my denial email on 3/26. So that’s about 8 weeks ?

Fall registration started on 3/22 so my guess is we will see them the week of the 18th, maybe that Friday if not sooner

Has anyone thought about applying to the Spring LPN program as a backup? It's an evening/weekend program. I went back to my SHP application to see what else I could apply for and noticed they had a Spring cohort.

I applied for that in the Spring after I found out I didn't get into the RN program.   And I discussed it with my adviser who advised against it because he said I was so close to getting into the RN program.   I was accepted into the LPN program and ended up turning it down due to a family emergency.   But if I don't get into HCC or ccbc RN program I think I will try that again because I don't have another year to wait.   So thank you for reminding me of that.
