CCBC Spring 2011

Hello everyone,

I wanted to say hello to everyone applying to Spring 2011. When do you plan on handing in your application? I am so excited to be near the end of my perquisites. GOOD LUCK and I hope to see you all in the spring!!!:coollook:

Starting for applicants for Fall 2011, students will be able to apply for both campuses and use "first choice" indications.

Thanks. Since the deadline has already passed, never mind then. But that's good to know that we can have first and second choice. Do we need to pay double application fee?

Hey, does anyone know how many students applied to essex or how we could find out?

wow would have been good to know that i could have applied to both. i thought we were only allowed to apply to one, but i would have done both if i could. oh well.

No, we couldn't indicate more than one program...applicants for Fall 2011 could (meaning students who will be turning their applications in on March 15, 2011). Just wanted to clarify. Thanks!!

Gwen Jones from Essex told me the stats from last year. She said they pretty much stay the same from year to year. This is what she said...

Out 385 applicants 168 were accepted

Roughly 100 of those applicants were rejected because they didn't meet all requirements

GPA range from 2.58 to 4.0 with an average of 3.36 GPA

Sounds good to me. I also heard that many students each semester don't get accepted because they didn't meet all of the requirements. (Does this mean people randomly handing in Nursing Apps that don't have classes done...???) I also heard that the TEAS test is not going to be weighted as heavily as in the past (just a rumor??). Anyway, good luck to everyone! Hope to see you in the Spring!!

Just in casual conversations around campus, I have been amazed at people who have told me they sumitted what amounts to an incomplete application. Like they would say to me, "Oh I never got around to the TEAS test, but I applied anyway to see what happens." So, I'm thinking -- OK, no competition from you. I think being organized and complete about it is half the battle. Now, the wait is growing shorter!!

I like that rumor!

I think the rumor about TEAS might be true since CCBC doesn't post the

minimum score for the new TEAS V but they encourage that you have to get at least proficient level to apply.

I saw the static for Fall2009 only 35 applicants who met the requirement were rejected. The rest of who got rejected(about 100s) were not met the minimum requirement.

Well my CCBC 2011 Spring hopefuls, we are at week 4 today since the deadline! Not too much longer to go.. I sure hope they post the sitting fees on the Simon account early just as someone said in an earlier post, that would be great. Good Luck to you all again..
