case study on a diabetic question

These seem like fairly straight forward questions and I'm surprised you are having trouble with them. Perhaps you could post what your thought are about them thus far.

By the way, the first two questions are connected and the answers to the third and fourth questions are in any medication handbook.

Opioids and NSAIDs are both analgesics, though they have different actions and properties. Hope this helps.

BTW, I don't think littlenurse27 was out of line with her remark about plagiarism. There seems to be alot of new people on here all the time asking for people to do their homework for them and it is really important that everyone does their own work and only asks for help if they need it, not because they're lazy and expect the community to do their work for them. It sounds like you were just looking for a little clarification but it can be hard to tell sometimes.

Thanks for your help but i do feel she was totally out of line i have completed 33 questions of my case study all by myself just needed some clarification and backup on my answers. I was not asking for anyone to do my homework. I do not plagarise i know the consequences.

At the same token you didn't offer up 'what' you had come up with - so it begs the question as to whether you needed help or a handout.

I wouldn't have gone so far as plagiarism, but I would have felt more comfortable if studentmumof4 (that's quite a load you've got there already!) had volunteered her thinking on the questions first, which is why I asked what she already had. As I posted intitially, the questions seem relatively straight-forward, though that could just be because it's all second nature by now.

Some advice for next time - allnurses folk are usually very happy to help out, but will feel less conflicted about helping if you demonstrate that you've already given some thought to the questions before posting. If nothing else that will help you work out where you might have gone wrong, which will help you with future research.

as a nurse of 32 years i like to think that i can tell when someone is asking for help or trying to get someone to do their homework for them. some questions are based on clinical experience which nursing textbooks aren't always real good at explaining!

the idea that getting answers from someone to questions here is plagiarism would make this forum void and need to shut down, wouldn't it? then, how are you going to find things out?

the things the student was asking for can be found in basic med surg texts.

i say this with no disrespect intended- my opinion is that you flat-out gave her the answers. period.
