Cabin Fever

I doubt that "cabin fever" is a legitimate diagnosis period. Could be the lay term for seasonal adjustment depression.

Cabin Fever: actually a term used to describe a humans need for hibernation during the depths of dark cold winter months. Remedy: either a long walk, whisky or a colt 45.

Yes a joke....I'm just a student but I was really referring to the fact that it is either below zero or a blizzard every day since before Christmas here, Mom (who's going on 95) pop out her rocking chair this morning and said "I'm going to Wal-Mart" (she probably hadn't been out of the house since the first week of December, and I wouldn't let her go out because the weather was too bad)...but today at a lovely -11 degrees she was going and I was going to take her....good judgement be damned....and that is why old people snow bird to warmer climates...otherwise they are nearly incarcerated in this kind of weather. (again just joking)

Anyone ever watch the movie "Cabin Fever'? These kids go to cabin for a fun trip and come down with a terrible gross virus. Yuk!

S/S lethergy, neglect of personal appearance and hygiene, catatonic staring at the Weather Channel, mindless pacing, inordinate concern with what the neighbors are doing....:)

I'm right there with you! Today is snow day #4, tomorrow will be #5. What will we call it when we're still in school in July? School fever? My office will be packed with kids trying to get sent home so they can go swimming!
