Brookhaven Fall 2012

Anyone here applying to Brookhaven's nursing program next month for their Fall 2012 admission?

I am..I need to take the HESI one more time in hopes of getting a higher score. The only support class that I do not have complete is End of Life so I hope with a higher HESI score and a good interview score I will have enough points to get in!

I hope they send the email out letting us know if we made it or not on Friday! They sent out the interviews email early so one could hope right?? If not, well one week from today we will know if we are Brookhaven nursing students or not!!! :D

Hope next Monday, we are happier than today :)Although I am super nervous for the interview, have never had an interview. What are you guys wearing?

I was debating on wearing a suit but changed my mind. I work at a bank so ill wear whatever I wore to work--business casual. I know I'm nervous and I don't want to add to that by being uncomfortable. And yes I hope next Monday there are lots of cheers and no tears. I have dinner with my best friend who will be in town and I told her I hope this is a celebratory dinner and not otherwise.

Hopefully you do have a good and happy dinner with your friend. I think I will be wearing a suit but then I don't want to look awkward. Do you suit is too much?

I am going to wear black slacks, closed toe heels, nice blouse. It's what I'd wear to any other professional interview so I think it will be okay.

If you want to wear a suit I think that would be okay too. As long as you show up presentable and not in jeans, tee shirt and flip flops I think they won't care.

I don't think a suit is too much I just know I feel so uncomfortable in them. @briterz yeah I'm with you on slacks nice top ensemble (its my every interview outfit for my entire adult life)

Aren't you guys nervous? I am super nervous, looking for different kind of questions they can ask. Does any one of you has any touch with first semester students who already have been through the interview? If yes, please share! :)

Brookhaven has a career development center where they offer free mock interviews. I am going up there tomorrow for my second session with one of the ladies. I am probably wearing my nice slacks with a purple cami/frilly blouse with a nice white sweater coat. Thursday @ 2pm!

Everyone in my interview group wore a suit, but a few people who were waiting for interviews in the lab had on nice business casual clothes. Some people in my group mixed in humor with their answers, but I wasn't that brave. The interview goes by really quick, and you don't get a chance to say much of anything but the answers to your two questions. I hope it goes well for everyone.
