Breakfast b4 the test?

Published

HEY GUYS ITS MY TIME :uhoh3: I REALLY DONT HAVE AN APPTITE IN THE AM BUT I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT SHOULD I EAT B4 THE TEST I TEST AT 8:00AM !

I have been told that fish helps with memory but I doubt that you would want that @6:30 am :barf02:If you just want something so your stomach doesn't start talking to you during your test eat a nutrigrian bar or a "Toaster Struddle" or try just a sausage biscuit something small should help. Good Luck on your test!

I would eat some protein like a small omelet, peanut butter, cottage cheese basically protein. Make sure to take a lunch bag with you packed with small snacks of protein because you do not know how long you will be there and when you break you need a small snack if you are hungry. Good Luck!:redpinkhe

your test will be tomorrow? well goodluck to us as mine will be on friday....

anyway, back on the breakfast thingy..... you need to at least something before you take the exam. i know you don't have the appetite and feels like vomiting whenever you try but you need to eat something. hunger can distract you and lose your focus but you don't want distractions right?

just eat light and easy to chew foods that can be swallowed easily...a pancake perhaps?

A couple of medium sized pancakes and a scrambled egg should do. You don't want to be hungry but you don't want to overdo it either. And don't forget to pack that snack for your break. Good luck.

Oh man it just erased my reply...

So are all tests at 8am? I am not a morning person and that would really stink! I am not eligible to register for the test yet that's why I do not know. (I am just waiting on my email) Hopefully there will be an option to take it a little later ha. I would be very happy! :dncgbby:

not all test are 8am at pearson san francisco. i always schedule myself via online and i see some dates that have 9, 10 am or 1,2 pm. i don't know if all dates have those hours or just already taken since i only see once or twice per month that with available time like that....

i'm not a morning person anymore too but i envy you if you can still sleep hours away before your exam. i usually can't sleep before my exam that's why i prefer it to be morning so the agony would end sooner than still waiting for my doom longer.....

pasta always makes my brain work more

You don't want to eat anything "heavy" that may make you sleepy, but you do want to load up on some protein. So some eggs, a little bacon and a slice of toast would be great. Maybe some cheese toast?? I'd avoid the pancakes, etc....they can turn to lead in your tummy :)

Remember that you can't take *anything* into the test area with you, so if you take food items make sure they'll fit in a small locker and won't need refrigeration, etc.

Good luck on your test :)

I tested Wednesday, kept breakfast simple ... a whole wheat English muffin with peanut butter, my daily handful of vitamins/minerals/herbs, and washed it all down with about a quart of yerba mate. It worked for me through school, saw no need to upset my "ritual" ..... test cut off at 85, hopefully for the best ;)

Oh trust me I wouldn't be able to sleep for hours...however I know it would take me forever to fall asleep that night...so having a later time for the test would at least guarantee me a few hours of sleep! When I had morning clinicals I usually would get between 2-4 hours of sleep cause I never could go to sleep in time!

The day of my test I wanted to eat breakfast but I was sooo nervous nothing appealed to me! I wanted to eat breakfast but I was soo nauseated from the food that I only ended eating two spoonfuls of my oatmeal before heading out the door. Luckily I took a granola bar so as I was waiting for my name so I can be fingerprinted I ate. I suggest you do the same if you find yourself not able to eat like me! Luckily i was done with my test in 45 min so I didnt stay hungry for that long..
