i think any training done here in philippines is not accredited to different countries.better read some thread with suzzane's post..even as volunteer nurse, what i read is not considered as job experience.so sad....but i think it's true.

an acquaintance told me about Philippine Heart association. that was where she took her BLS and ACLS training. I have been trying to reach them by phone from time to time since last week, but the line is always busy. anybody else who knows their contact numbers other than the ones posted in the website? anyone who have tried their training?

they had their ecg training last dec 12 i think.. you should visit heart foundation personally.. so that you will be updated with the dates of their training..

are you talking about phil heart center? is phil heart center same different from phil heart association?

hello there.

hope this could help: i had taken my BLS training at Philippine national redcross and my ACLS at Philippine Heart Center. just follow up for their schedules. for sometimes, they also go to provinces(the philippine heart center) to conduct trainings. they usually coordinates with NG review center.

=)

try to know the requirements of the hospital you want to apply to..sometimes they don't accept bls and acls trainings from this or that hospital..i know two prominent hospitals who don't honor each other's training programs..try the Phil Nat'l Red Cross BLS, it's the one mostly honored.....

so you prefer taking ACLS at Phil. Heart Center? Ok! Thanks for this thread.:)

NRTC in partneship with CHEERS is conducting a three in one training package for 1. BLS with AED use -ASHI wall certificate and ID. this is a guaranteed international BLS CERT with 2 years expiry. 2. Basic First Aid 3. ECG tracing/TRIAGE with CHEERS certificate. The price is 2700 pesos with free training kit and snacks. For inquiries visit or call Noelle's Review and Training Center Suite 301 Lolita Building. Corner Quezon/Gen. Luna Sts. Iloilo City

033-337-4771. CHEERS is affiliated with AHA, ASHI, DOLE, DOH, PRC to conducts these trainings. for further details pls visit http://www.cheers.gowideweb.com

i would suggest.. take the training at the Critical Nurses Association of the Philiipines(CCNAPI). Their training is good and you will learn a lot especially the ACLS, and besides nurses are the one who will teach you. Their office is located at the heart center medical arts bldg 8F.

agree with hazelnutRN...worth it ang ECG sa CCNAPI.. u won't be getting out of that training,..not until u can read an ECG strip..

:nurse:

:yeah:

Hi everyone!

my friend told me about CHEERS program, has anybody here tried there. what can you say about their program?

thanks!

guys please help... im trying to decide whether to choose CHEERS? redcross? or what??? first they said its ok to choose cheers since it can save my time so much (3 certificates in 2 days).... then they said most hospitals prefer redcross trainings.... (which actually takes a week for 2 certs)... then there is this phil. heart association which also offers BLS and ACLS... im so confused... I really need something that will benefit me most... especially in terms of applying to different tertiary hospitals.... Im a newly registered nurse this dec.2011 and I really (as in really) wanted to work ASAP... I cant stand being jailed in my house :) i wanted to be productive to the fullest possible way....
