blind from right eye

I wanted to know if I can be a nurse??? its been my dream to be a nurse and I will do whatever it takes to be one. I had a retina reattachment sugery so I can only see shadows and not allowed to pick up heavy objects cause it can reattach but its been a while since I had sugery I want to be a RN then become a Surgical Practitsioner Nurse

I would think that there would be accommodations for this. I would have conversation with the nursing director of whatever school it is you would like to attend. There are disability based accommodations that are protected by law. I would research what those are in your state (some are federally protected).

This may have some information you could find useful.

Best wishes.

Sometimes they are, as in total knee replacements. I think retinal detachment restrictions may be permanent.
