audiometer calibration

do you send your audiometers out to get calibrated every year? Every 2 years? never??just wanted to see what was being done on a national level.

We have a company that comes in each summer and does calibration on our scale, audiometer and vision screener. Costs about $160 for all three.

We own one ancient model which I just sent out. Hasn't been calibrated since '07 but I would like to do every other year from now on, cost $60.

every year. $50

I work at a Charter School so i kind of go by my own rules. I have my audiometer sent in and calibrated once a year. As for your scale, you can get it calibrated every year through the weights and measures department if your town has one.

Every year. A company comes to a nearby city and we take it there. Either I take it down and the health aide picks it up or vice versa. Not a problem for us as we do our shopping there anyway.

Last year I forgot - so sent it off. The price to mail it was worse than driving it in. So, I won't forget this year.

We are mandated by the county to have ours calibrated each year--a courier picks it up, takes it to the warehouse and delivers it back to us during pre-planning. Easy Peasy!

We have ours calibrated each summer. We take them to our Special Ed department and they handle it for us.

A guy comes once a year and calibrates all the hearing and vision screening machines for our district. He comes to each school and does it. I don't know what the charge is, though...
