read the book, and take the practice tests, read the rationale, and the ones you get wrong write down on flash cards with the rationale.

Yeah, I agree with the previous poster. There's just no way around the study time...plus practicing one unreal question after another (those that seem to be with two+ answers) until it starts "clicking"...

^ i just took the ATI at my school. We have to get a second level to pass the semester. I would recommend reading the book and making sure to do the practice tests. This helped me.

Take the tests at the back of each chapter. If you get them right move on, if you get them wrong read that chapter. Your teacher should be able to give you nonproctored exams for you to practice with. This is what I have done for all my ATI exams and I have gotten level 2 and 3 on all so far.

I agree with all of the above PLUS make sure that the online Practice Tests are congruent with the information in your book. I have to retake one because we were given the 2007 ATI book, which went along with our classroom text BUT were given a 2004 ATI test which didn't go along with anything:banghead: It has been frustrating to say the least and this if the first time I have ever had to retake one but, it is a lesson learned.

Good luck,

Ann

Read the book and take the practice tests. Good luck!
