Jan 28, 201016 yr So who is applying for nursing school this year? And where are you applying? I am applying to Concord Tech, Manchester Community(if they ever stop fighting with me) and Great Bay.GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL!:)
Mar 9, 201016 yr Wait listed for LRCC Just waiting to hear back from NHTI...anyone receive a letter yet that isn't already enrolled in another program there? Thanks...
Mar 10, 201016 yr I also applied to NHTI for fall 2010, and was wondering if anyone who does not already take classes there has been accepted? and If I'm not accepted will I receive a rejection letter? I did not have to take the NLN, but instead the HESI, which I received an overall score of 95% on, and I also already have a BS in Health Science... so i thought my chances were good, but having not heard yet makes me nervous!
Mar 10, 201016 yr A friend of mine got into the program after only one semester of taking college classes. I believe she had A&P1 done and some other class. She scored really well on her NLN, so thats why she got in. What is LRC? Not familiar with school/ program? must be lakes region?? im still waiting to hear from manchester thats the only school i applied to for the heck of it. I just finished my first semester of Dental hygiene and realized I wanted to change my major to nursing..
Mar 11, 201016 yr Lovely, I only applied to Manchester as well. Im still waiting...i'm thinking its still going to be another 2WEEKS! What were your NLN scores?
Mar 11, 201016 yr I applied to Manch, Concord and Great Bay. I was wait listed at Great Bay and have yet to hear from the other two. My composite score was a 131, I have A&P I and II completed as well as microbiology. I do not have a previous degree...although I have a bunch of credits. Hope that helps the curious minds!
Mar 11, 201016 yr Crookededna, when did you receive notice that you were waitlisted at Great Bay? This makes me nervous, considering their application deadline was less than two weeks ago, and I barely made it!!Good luck to you on the other schools :)
Mar 11, 201016 yr Crookededna, did you receive your letter from GBCC in the mail? I'm worried now since I've taken A&P I, and II as well as Micro. But I do have degree from UNH. My NLN scores were pretty good, but now I'm not sure what's good enough.
Mar 11, 201016 yr I don't know. It's all so confussing, you got a 131 and both a&p's but you got waitlisted at GB. People about got 126's at concord and nashua and got right in. I guess there is no way to fully understand the selection process...i guess we just have to wait!
Mar 11, 201016 yr I received it in the mail yesterday. Honestly, I've seen people over qualified not get in..and some under qualified get in. Good luck!
Mar 11, 201016 yr Sometimes I think these people are just sitting in the dark with blind folds on picking at random
Mar 11, 201016 yr Sometimes I think these people are just sitting in the dark with blind folds on picking at randomI agree with you. To boot, GBCC never wrote on the letter what number I was on the wait list, unless they stopped doing that. I'm in a moral dilemma of sorts. A friend of mine got wait listed at GB last year and got accepted (and went to) Manch. She ended up quitting or failing out.....but she never took her name off of the wait list at GB so now she is getting a second shot at nursing school, without having to write the dean or plead her case. If I am number 3 or 4 on the list...I am tempted to alert the school to this. What do you think? Would that be fair of me?
