Ok...
So I sent my application last week, for the LPN course. I am sooo nervous. I know that the first thing I will hear back from them within 2 weeks, is to send a "Thank you for registering, we have rec'd your application."
After that how long can you expect to be waiting to hear back whether you are accepted or not? (I'm in Canada... so I don't know if this makes a difference or not.) I applied for a start date of July 2007. There is a 2 year waiting list.
Oh I am so nervous! In the meantime, I was thinking of taking some sciences as a refresher at the adult school.

Hi and welcome to AllNurses.com.
I really think the wait time is different with each program.
Good luck to you! :)

How exciting for you!
I'll be sending mine off in the next week or so. Just waiting for copies of my official transcript where I am currently enrolled and CLEP scores. (Sent off for everything this week.)
I don't know if my school sends an acknowledgement when an application has been received. I was told that acceptance letters usually go out sometime around the end of April. (Applications are due by March 1.)
I'm making sure I have duplicates of everything before I send it and am paying for confirmation delivery so I don't have to worry about whether it makes it there or gets lost in the mail.
Thanks everyone!! I am really nervous!
MissJen.... it took me over a year to get the application sent in! I had to get a few things updated because of it!

I sent in my application about three weeks ago, and quickly received a "your application is being processed" letter. Anxiously awaiting a "you can now take the entrance exam" letter.

I'm applying to BSN programs and I too have just sent my last application. The waiting is going to be ridiculously nervewracking for all of us, regardless of which program we're waiting to be accepted to!
Meanwhile I'll be slogging my way through Micro and Lifespan Development, trying not to chew my nails (I've already done that) and trying not to check the mailbox every five minutes....:uhoh21:
I'm hoping that I'll "forget" I applied and then the time will seem to pass faster....WISHFUL THINKING, I'm afraid...

We all need to hang tough together! My app deadline is march 9th. My school is pretty 'automatic' - if you fulfill the requirements of attending an informational session (have to sign in with your social security #) and take the entrance exam, you are 'automatically' applying for the program. I did go yesterday and verify that my file was complete and it is. So, now I have to wait for the app deadline to pass and then start waiting on the letter deadline to arrive. They say we should receive letters on or before May 26! This whole Spring semester will be over by then! ARGH - the pain of it all!!!
On the other hand, I am applying at a different campus of the same school that has a deadline of Feb. 6th and letters go out in April, but still the wait is going to be HORRIBLE!
