Hey anyone know of any good apps that you can download for the iPhone to record long lectures and hold a significant amount of space?

You would probably either upload to a cloud or your computer to save space afterwards, there is no app that comes with extra space for saving recordings

A lot of the students used their phones to record, but many had free space on their phone to record the entire lecture. Some bought digital recorders so they can transfer the .mp3 files to their computer without having to worry about their phone usage. There were also a few who used their laptops to record.

I always used voice memo on my iphone. It was extra super clear too. There were times i was chewing gum and you could even hear it haha. You can always plug it into your computer after and save the file too

I did not like the voice memo on my iphone. It was too hard to intricately fast forward or rewind a few seconds for note taking at home. I eventually bought a voice recorder for about $30 and liked it way better.

Remember that you need to have consent from the instructor in order to record lectures.
Thanks everyone. And we got consent on the first day of class.

I really like notability. It has an upload feature so if I need to, I can easily send it to Dropbox. IMO it holds a ton.
Thanks! I'll check it out!!

I have been using Goodnotes for my prereq classes that I have liked a lot. It has the ability to upload the files to your computer if you have internet access. Also you can make tracks for the recording by pausing and resume recording. Also depending on how many classes you have you can color code for each class, up to four is the most I have been able to figure out so far at least.

Personally, I liked my digital recorder. I could plug it in directly to my car speakers and listen to the lectures for my two hour commute home.
