AP 100 question..?

Would you recommend taking AP 100 as an online class? Do you think this would add stress to the already difficult (from what I've heard) class...?

Understanding A&P is vital to all of the future nursing courses you will take. Taking the course online is far more difficult and you deny yourself the opportunity of the hands on experience which a course like this truly needs.

It would be like trying to learn calculus after skimming through algebra I...

The content is overwhelming I will not lie, you will learn more than you thought you could, and it will be hard... but very very necessary as I have yet to take a course since that did not rely heavily on the understanding of human anatomy.

My A&P courses required dissections as well, online courses may be able to simulate this, or perhaps even supplement with other materials but there is no comparison to the experience the classroom and lab course provide you with.

Our nursing program frowns upon taking it on-line, so I wouldn't, but I guess it depends. It is a really tough intense class, I would NEVER EVER take it on-line.

I would say absolutely take it in the classroom. It's WAY too much information (important information) to take online, I think anyway.

What is your professor's name and where does he or she teach? I'd love to have a little conversation with this person.

LOL, true. The first thing I did after I got my acceptance letter, after I was done with the celebration, was dust off my A&P books. I know people in the program that have told me that they regretted not really learning the material well. They studied for exams enough to pass and get the grades to get into the program but still don't have a good grasp of the material. I'm making sure I learn from their mistakes and brushing up on my A&P before I start nursing classes in January. SMDH @ that prof.

To the OP - whether to take it online or not, Depends on what kind of learner and student you are. I tell you what, I did not take A&P 1 online but my prof sucked!!!! - so, much of what I learned was self taught through my own reading, and from other sources I found online. Youtube videos were my best friend!
